All Songs have a Story

I and a few other people will be taking songs, and writing a story based off of the lyrics and, what I interpret to be, the meaning. Also, if you would like to see a story made from one of your favorite songs comment below! Don't forget to leave a big Like!

1. Hey There Diliah by Plain White Ts

by Lavern2002

Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me, girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you

Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way

Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame

Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you
This one's for you

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me.

~~ I listen to her warm slow breath as early morning begins to break. She, Delilah, is leaving for college today. I have been looking forward to Christmas Break for months, and now I am dreading its end. On January 3rd she will have to go back to college, and I will be left to wallow in suffer in stress and decisions. Tonight was another sleepless night – thinking of what song I can write to impress a crowd. I am failing her. Someday, I think to myself, I’m going to pay the bills with my guitar, and finally, finally, we will have it good.
I look down at her again. She is so peaceful when she sleeps – all the worries are brushed away, and all that is left is her calm beautiful face. Somehow I fall asleep and woken about an hour later by her stirring. As I open my eyes, a horrible weight falls in my heart – I don’t want her to leave. Rose sits up a yawns whch makes my heart ache even more,
“Good Morning,” she says with a stretched out voice. She closes her mouth into a relaxed smile and looks at me with those sparkling sea-blue eyes,
“How did you sleep?” I ask her tiredly.
“Fine,” she paused, “I know you are sad,”
“No, I’m okay, honestly. I know you have to go back,”
“Yes, I do. I still feel torn though. You know I miss you when I’m there. I miss being next to you,” I know she misses me, but I long for her when I am here. I miss her silly smile, and her warm embrace. I don’t even have any friends. I did at one point, but they always made fun of us. I got so mad at them because they didn’t understand us, and how we felt,
“Sean, what are you thinking about?”
We get dressed quickly and leave for the train station because I know the train will be leaving soon – to soon. I have recorded one song for her, and only for her. It is called Hey there Delilah. She goes on her toes to kiss me, and I lean down. While we are kissing, I place the CD in her open purse.
We hold hands as we walk to the train, and she hugs me,
      “I love you,” She says
“I love you too,” She hugs me and runs up the stairs to the train. I watch her as she sits down at a window seat, and I see her feel in her purse – she sees the CD and what I wrote on it.
Listen to my voice. It’s my disguise. I’m by your side.
