1. Australia Here I come!!

Troublemaker was indeed my name, and the people that thought other wise, were mostly the people who have yet to meet my despicable self and me. I don’t always go by troublemaker, or badass, or screw up. For those people who don’t know who the real me is, I go by Haven Lauren McLain. In other words, only my closest friends call me Haven because there the only ones that allows my outrageous behavior.

Today was a typical day for me. It was now my sixtieth time being sent to the principal’s office in the past three months, which meant that somebody was in big trouble. I was slumped over in the uncomfortable chair in the office, possibly the only kind of chair this crappy school could afford. I was smiling like a mad hatter, and to be completely honest, it’s because there isn’t a moment in my life where I regret anything I’ve done. My principal, who by the way is a horrible old man, was frowning so deeply it almost made it impossible to be all cheery and shit.

“Haven McLain, I’m so fed up with all the stunts you pull in this school!!” Even though he was practically yelling at me, his frown never faltered.

“You forgot Lauren, Mr. Andrew Sacks” I grinned, knowing I had struck a nerve.

“Excuse me?”

“I thought we were using full names,” I said faking innocence. “Clearly you were unaware of my middle name, which is Lauren by the way. So all I was doing was merely making you aware of that fact”

“Don’t be such a smart ass with me young lady!” He roared.

“Tsk tsk… Don’t make me tell the board about you and your loose mouth, Andrew” I was so going to get kicked out of school for this, but who the hell really fucking cares.

My motto is, don’t let shit get to you because you well get pregnant and die…. Ha-ha, Mean Girls moment. That doesn’t really make sense at all, and I’m not so certain on why I actually go by that motto.

“Ms. McLain I- “ I quickly cut him off. “Oh, so we’re back to just last names. What a big, major, damn, freaking shame” I said snapping my finger in fake disappointment.

“ I was going to say that I hate having to do this, but actually I really feel great about the decision I’m about to make” He smiled, a big crooked smile. “I here by expel you from Varsity Lane High”

“Whoa, that was close one, I really thought you were going to tell me bad news” I smirked.

“Get. Out. Of. My. Office .Now!!!”

Without hesitation I left his office, grinning like a pure G. But that’s the exact moment I saw my mother, and the exact moment I knew my motto was actually going to make some sort of sense. I, Haven Lauren McLain, was about to die. I bit my lip to hide the fact that I was smiling; my mother hates smiles, and basically everything happy.

“Haven, I am so very angry at you. You have simply went over board this time, and I’m not going to be the person to clean this mess up” Her eyes were sending daggers in my direction, and even though they were probably just a figment of my imagination, I felt like crawling under a rock. “What did you even do to get sent to the principal’s office?”

“Nothing special really” I shrugged. “ All I did was vandalize the school lunch room, and got chased because I stole all the French fries”

“French fries?” My mother snorted. “Do you care to explain to me why you did all of this?” She raised an eyebrow at me.

“Mom, there really isn’t an explanation as to why a seventeen year old girl would want to do such things, I guess I’m just too damn special” I smiled, but surely my mother wasn’t having it.

“Oh yes!” She exclaimed. “Of course, my daughter is one of the mental cases I work with everyday, I should have known that from the start” You probably don’t know this, but my mother just so happens to be a psychiatrist for the mentally ill, which makes me wonder why she hasn’t already gotten used to my “weird” behavior.

“Exactly my point, I’m surprised you haven’t figured this out already”

“We’re leaving now, since I’m sure that even if I was a hot piece of Ass I couldn’t get you back into this school” She reached for my hand, but I was too shocked at what she had just said. It was almost funny when it was coming out of the mouth, of my very up-tight granny like mother. “When we get home we’ll discuss your consequences”

“Of course, that is only fair” I smirked. “And I’ll try to come up with a hundred reasons why my mother is already a hot piece of ass. I have already got fifty” I winked at her, and for the first time since what seemed like ages, she smiled at me.

“You are too much, Haven”

“But, I’m your too much”

Boring car rides always got the best of me, but since I’ve practically got all the time in the world, let me just tell you a little more about myself.  I live for partying, having fun, and annoying the living hell out of people. I don’t care too much for criticism, and hate only makes me that much more fuc*ing spectacular. I have been arrested three times, and while I’m not proud of it, I don’t really regret it. I must sound like  bitch to you, and honey you got that right. The truth is, I’m a complete bitch, but at least I don’t go around lying about it.

I don’t really get involved with guys because I find that commitment is just too much for me, but that doesn’t make me a whore. I rarely befriend girls because most are evil, conniving, jealous hoes, and those are not the type of people I like to get involved with. I know, your probably wondering, but isn’t that what you are? The difference is I have a wicked mind, I’m never jealous, I really am smart, and I’m not a hoe. I just like to have a good time, and while some of my actions may offend others, I really don’t mean for that to happen.

Arriving to my house was possibly the best thing that has happened to me all day. Well, besides my mother saying hot piece of ass. Of course. Thank God my dad was never even home because then fire would totally, get set to the rain. You could say that my family was very rich, but I wasn’t one to really gloat. I liked the simpler things in life, but only when it came to material. When it comes to life, I never like anything too easy. Stepping foot into my house, I could already tell somebody else was there.

“If there’s a stranger in my house!! Come out. Come out, Come out” I shouted, and my mother had to shush me.

“It’s just your brother, Haven”

“There’s a difference?” I sneered, earning a smack to the head from my mom.

I don’t like the word hate, so I’m just going to put this into slightly kinder words. My brother is an absolute dick, asshole, jerk, who I completely and utterly dislike. He sucks balls, from a cow, in the water, Drowning. That’s the nicest it’s going to get, so don’t get so worked up.  Speak of the devil.

“Hello, Havey Daze” He said, which he knew got under my skin.

“Hello, prick” I shot back.

“So they have finally got rid of you, I’m surprised they didn’t do so two years ago”

“Shut the fuck up dick weed, Bite me” I gave him the finger, and my mother sent me a glare.

“Haven, watch what kind of language you use” She warned.

“I believe it was English, but don’t worry mom, for your sake I’ll use Spanish” I cracked a smile.

“Yo te desprecian con tal pasión, no es incluso divertido. Realmente sólo debe salir de mi cara y mantenerse fuera de mi cara” I ranted, and if you don’t know Spanish, I just said I despise you with such a passion; it’s not even funny. You should really just get out my face, and stay out of my face.

I know, it was kind of a weak come back, but it was really hard to think of mean things to say in Spanish. To clear things up, I’m part Puerto Rican, which is why I’m basically fluent in Spanish as I was raised on it since I was a baby.

“Luke, it’s really not the time right now, so do you mind stepping out for a while” My mother sighed. “Haven and I, have to have a really serious talk”

Without a word, Luke left us to our awkward silence. I can’t guarantee that any conversation with me is going to be serious, and I’m pretty sure that my mother knows that also. Leading me over to the living room, my mom instructed me to take a seat on the couch. I’m really not the type who’s able to sit down for long periods of time; one could say that I may have ADD.

“Haven, you know I love you… right?”

“Of course, I’m sure that someone who didn’t love me wouldn’t be able to stand me” I said truthfully.

“I have been speaking with an old friend from Australia, and she said that whenever it was needed, I could send you out to live with her” Her hands were trembling, which was something that only ever happened when she was giving out bad news.  If I heard her correctly, this was certainly bad news. “I adore you with all of my heart, but honey I’m afraid I’m sending you to go live with her”

“What!!! Why?” I asked, which was pretty stupid of me since I clearly know the answer to that question.

“It’s only for three months, or until you straighten up your act” So in this case I’m never coming back.

“I don’t even know this so called “friend” “

“Actually, you kind of do” She bit her lip, which let me know she was nervous. “You’re moving in with the Brooks family”

Holy, mother fucking, shit. My frown just turned upside down. I hadn’t seen the Brooks brothers since forever, and from watching all their videos, I could tell that they were still freaking insane. I love insane, which meant that I loved them. They were just what I needed in my life right now, some good bug out buddies. Nobody in my town likes to have fun, there all boring, and lame. I remember going to Australia when I was younger, and having the greatest of times with these knuckle heads.  It pains me to say this (note the sarcasm) but I was going to be spending some time with the Janoskians, and boy was I loving every damn bit of it. Of course, it wouldn’t seem like punishment if I was happy about it, so instead I hung my head down low.

“No, It can’t be” I faked sadness, and surely enough my mother was buying it.

“I’m sorry darling, but it’s for the best” Oh, it’s for the best indeed.

Goodbye Miami, and Hello Australia. I can’t wait to leave.
